Merry Christmas!

As we are rounding the corner and driving headlong into the final week of Advent - several themes are woven together at our house and likely many of your homes: excitement for what is to come and the sizzle (or fizzle) of this past year! Like the snowy white kitty from the classic Christmas movie National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation - we can sometime feel as if we’ve burned through all nine of our lives in a very short time! But like my good friend Tom recently said concerning those of us in Jiu Jitsu - “We are the happiest hurting people in the world!”

Despite the many, many challenges - we overcome and keep moving forward!

Despite the many, many disappointments and injuries - we keep coming back!

…and we just keep smiling!

As the old saying goes - “Curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought him back!” I hope that this holiday week you can reflect on the steps forward, laugh about (or at least not mind) the setbacks, and be hopeful for what is yet to come!
