about.
Waking up in the morning most of us automatically pick up our phones and, after turning off the alarm start looking at our latest emails, checking the news, recent social posts, etc. Scrolling on our phone is our ‘default’ action in the morning. Maybe it’s a habit but I argue it’s a choice. Choosing not to choose is still a choice. Deciding to turn off the alarm then jump up and grab that amazing cup of fresh-brewed coffee doesn’t involve any habits…it involves what we have chosen as our default. No need for a ‘ten-day-habit-reset’! Change your default to grabbing ice water and go rucking in the morning. Change your default to walking outdoors instead of spending more time on your computer. Change your default from endless scrolling on your smartphone to picking up your dusty journal and recording what’s going on in your life right now (maybe even discover your inner poet along the way). This is why I try to keep my blogs around a read time of 2 minutes or less. So, go and live your default.life! What will you choose to change first?
